MY JOURNEY

Carita Marrow is an innovative intrapreneur who has come full circle in her career, now working at Adobe—a company that merges technology and creativity in transformative ways. With a background in Fine Arts and Art Management, concentrating in painting and printmaking, and a minor in Fashion Merchandising, Carita brings a unique perspective and a deep appreciation for the arts to her current role as Senior Program Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Adobe.

Carita's journey has been marked by a profound commitment to fostering equity and creating opportunities for historically marginalized communities.

She spearheads Adobe's transformative Taking Action Initiative (TAI), a multi-year program dedicated to advancing Adobe's Black Community and underrepresented groups. Through community engagement, advocacy, and career development, Carita strategically collaborates with key stakeholders across talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, government relations, supplier diversity, and branding teams to attract and retain diverse talent at Adobe. Her expertise in Diversity, equity and inclusion, Employee Relations, Program Management, Employee Resource Groups, and Recruitment spans 15 years, making her a valuable creative thought partner.

Before joining Adobe, Carita served as the Senior Manager of Science Education at UNCF, the nation's largest scholarship provider. In that role, she played a pivotal part in managing high-impact initiatives such as the Fund II Foundation STEM Scholars Program, the UNCF Merck Science Initiative, and the HBCU Innovation Summit. Carita's leadership enabled UNCF to administer over $11 million in scholarship and leadership grants, empowering more than 700 historically underrepresented students.

Outside of her work at Adobe, Carita indulges her passion for the arts by dedicating her spare time to painting and drawing. Her educational background in Fine Arts and Art Management serves as a reminder of her artistic roots and informs her creative approach to fostering diversity and inclusion within the corporate world.

Carita Marrow's ultimate aspiration lies in creating equitable opportunities for historically communities, striving to generate pathways to wealth and prosperity for all. Through her dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion, she continues to make a meaningful impact within Adobe and beyond, leveraging her expertise to drive positive change and empower individuals from all walks of life.
